1999 F150 won't start
My 99 F150 with the small V8 started skipping or sputtering at times while accelerating. I only drive it on the weekends. I had planned to take it somewhere to get it diagnosed this weekend. Now it won't start. It turns over. It just won't fire. Could this be a clogged fuel filter?

It could be. Borrow a fuel pressure gauge from a parts store, connect it to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. Turn the key on and read the pressure. Requires about 28 psi to start. Can you hear the fuel pump trying to prime when you turn the key on?
Do you have coil packs and plug wires, or do you have coil on plug?
