My 2000 ford f-150 xl was starting to stall and I went to put it in neutral and it slipped into reverse, made a banging noise and jerked and it made it gas station and ran rough after that, oil no read ,drove nect daythen died, makes banging noise when starting,but won't start??

 

Could be several things....but...more info would be helpful. Like what engine do you have? how many miles are on it? manual or Auto trans? and, have you scanned for tripped codes? If so, what were they? Does "Ran rough" meaning its missing? or starving for fuel? Does "no oil read" mean no oil on the dip stick or the gauge on the dash isn't indicating anything?

generic answers are when was the last time your fuel and air filters were changed? Have you looked for vacuum leaks?
