Looks like you have problems with all 4 O2 sensors. The P0174 may or may not be a legitimate lean code because of that open hose.

Clear all the codes and see which ones come back AFTER you fix your vacuum and air leaks and get the plugs and wires changed. NOTE that the sensors themselves may be fine, something associated such as wiring may be faulty.

so i'm tackling the plugs and wires and fixing that hose connection on the truck today, got to cylinder 1 and my socket and spark plug was covered in oil. Unburnt but i could tell the plug was old. the oil was completely covering the old spark plug. This really has me worried. I do not have any oil on my driveway. No wonder its running like crap. the oil is fouling the spark plugs. I'm wondering if its a valve cover gasket or something. Hopefully thats what it is. I do not want to tear down an engine right now. Any thoughts guys?

So problem now. Big problem. I'm kicking myself in the *** For this one. Cylinders 7 and 8 the spark plugs will not come out. The threads are stripped, so all they do is turn with a Rachet. Idk what to do with these. I don't know if I can use a tap or what. And if I take it to a garage they'll charge me right into the poor house. Any advice on what I should do guys?

Keep turning the plugs until they get loose enough to pull out. If you could get an impact on it to spin it fast it might help. You'll need a timesert to re-install plugs.

All they do is spin. They will not tighten or anything. And my old wires were full of rust and debris. They still have the porcelain part of the plug and everything. I just dont no how I'm going to take these out.

Are you sure the socket is engaging the plug hex? There could be builtup crud in the well keeping the socket from seating over the plug. Use a mirror and a light to look down there, you may have to use a scribe to chop up the crap and vacuum it out.

I think you got what you paid for, I see a possible engine rebuild in your future. If it's that bad trying to get the plugs out you probably have a pretty used up engine.

Yes I already blew out the holes with air to get a bunch of crud out of there so I know my socket got on the plug. What I was afraI'd of. Right now I definately would not be able to do a rebuild due to my kind of work. This was supposed to be my vehicle to drive for the moment but I guess I'll just have to figure something else out. Thanks guys.

Called the local shop today. They'll do both plugs and holes for 400 bucks. So looks like I'm gonna go in that direction. Once that's get done, I'll probably slap on new valve cover gaskets and grommets cause I know they're leaking. Thanks for everything guys. Gonna be a long working progres with this one.

How are they going to repair the holes? If they plan to use a helicoil, go somewhere else. A helicoil won't hold up.

The only inserts that will hold up are Timesert and Lock N Stitch.

They haven't told me what they would use yet. They just quoted me the price on what It would cost per hole. I'll ask them when Im about to have it taken in in a few weeks. Ill mention that i only want what you guys told is good. In the mean time, I Have to save up some extra money because if they're doing the holes I might as well have them do the valve cover gaskets too.
