1997 Ford Expedition 4x4. I've been hearing for a couple of weeks a sound coming from the passenger side (assuming it's coming from the driver's side, too, but since the window regulator is broken, I can't hear it from there) of my truck. I've had similar problems with other SUV'S, and want another opinion without pulling off the tire to check. Sounds a lot like it might be the hub... maybe the previous owner had someone perform a repair and they did it all janky. The way this vehicle has been treated, I wouldn't be surprised. Believe it or not, in a previous vehicle, someone did work on the front end and didn't bolt the hubs back in. I'm wondering if this might be the same problem or if there is another possibility with the hubs anyone might know about?

 

Remove the wheel and check it out.
