Question Inherited a 97 4wd- runs great, but it's rough- What's first thing you would do?

I had the 4WD checked out and it's working fine. Runs good enough to be a daily driver. (5.4 V8) I was going to trade it in as a down payment on a Jeep, but I've grown quite fond of this lady and I think I've gotten addicted to the power rush.

It was an old farm truck so she's showing every year of her wear - big ol' dent on the extended panel behind driver door, a few fiberglass cracks, etc.

I replaced the U Joints a few days ago with the help of a buddy, and I'm getting the AC professionally looked at because it's not blowing cold.

However, after that, I'm kind of at a loss on where to start.
Where would you begin if it was your beast?

how many miles? Probably could use some new plugs at the minimum.

Clean the throttle body?

New air cleaner?

New fluids?

Battery?

I had a 97 F150 with the 5.4 and traded it with 255,000 miles on it and it was running pretty good..

I did the above several times during my 12 years or so of ownership. (I got it used in 2001 and traded for the truck in my sig)

Good luck!

Mitch

Thanks!
Previous owner kept it serviced regularly, so standard maintenance seems ok. No new plugs needed.
She's at 175,000 miles right now.

...So maybe start with throttle body then?
