How to replace sunroof glass seal in '2002 F-150 XLT?
I discovered small gaps along the rear of the sun roof glass rubber seal on my 2002 F-150 XLT extended cab. Looks like all I need to do is remove two screws on either side of the glass bracket and remove two curved control rods to remove the glass, but never done it before, so not sure. Anybody tackle this job? Also, do I need to add any type of adhesive or sealer to the new rubber glass seal prior to installation?
No. However, I tried removing the seal from my sunroof glass a few months ago when I was inspecting for leaks. It was extremely difficult, and I almost tore it. So take care on your install, and let me know how it goes!
Also, were you able to find a good price on the sunroof seal? They're crazy expensive, and cost more than the glass itself!

Install questions:
I'm about to replace my sunroof glass seal tomorrow, is there any specific things that I should know prior to starting this job to make it any easier? I already know that there are two T20 Torx bit screws to take out on the left and right side and lift glass straight up out of the vehicle which the vehicle happens to be a 2003 Ford Expedition. Once that part is complete, is there anything else I need to know about the seal itself on taking it off the glass or putting it back on
Sunroof fixed
Well the removal of the old seal was a easy 2 minute job, however the install was a little different. I do disagree with other by saying to take it to a shop...waste of money. The trick was to use a lubricating gel for the rubber seal and the glass channel to where the rubber seats in. It will nearly roll in with a little persuading. The last corn was a little difficult so highly lubricate it a use flat edge of a butter knife as you roll/tuck it in and your finished. Not a bad job to do at all to do on your kitchen table, nice staying warm while your working!!
