2000 4x4 axle code

have code on metal tag that reads 3 s 918d 55 9 75 9L16 can antone help me figure it out tring to buy truck that need new rear end complete thanks

There should be two tags on the rear. You have a 9.75" rear diff.

That's a 3.55 open 9.75" rear.

Talking 2000 4x4 axle

thank u for answers so i need to get the same rear end for truck with the exact number or just the 3.55 and 975. and o course it has to be out of a 4x4 the seller said there r like 20 different axle for this truck .the code on the door tag is 19 for the axle .and the carrying capacity is 1000 lbs.does any one know what may interchange with this and what years fit this truck im am not a mechanic so that is why im asking so much .thanks again all

thank u glc i could only see one tag the other must have rusted off . what dopes the918d stand for .? its a 2000 lariat f150 4x4 with a triton motor.it has the small door behind not the full like a crew cab

Actually you can use any axle out of a similar body F150, as long as its 3.55 gears. Even an 8.8 would fit, not sure about the driveshaft though. Two or 4 Wd doesn't make any difference, as long as the ratio matches.

The 918d helps identify the axle and bearings size. There supposedly are two sizes that they could be.
