Good morning fellow Fordies. I'm looking to purchase a 2002-03 F-150 King Ranch Supercrew (currently drive a 94 F-250 turbo diesel). A lot of what I'm seeing are the four seat setups, but I need seating for five people. Has anyone successfully performed a rear bench seat conversion on this year/model truck (swapping the two single seats for a bench seat)? I also read somewhere about the possibility of removing the rear center console, and mounting another bucket seat (captain's chair) in its place; not sure if that's doable either. My kids and MIL will be riding in the back, so I absolutely don't want to do anything remotely unsafe (basically looking to "plug and play").
I've searched the distant reaches of the interwebs (including this forum) for information on this "project", but I can't find anything conclusive or current (I think the most current posts I've seen were from 2006). Being a bit desperate for information at this point, I've cross-posted to a couple other forums; hope that's okay...
