Careful when removing Intake Manifold

Figured I'd post this for anyone attempting to remove the Intake Manifold for the first time.

I thought I had all the bolts off as I couldn't see anymore and the intake was able to move. Picked it just to see the furthest bolt on the passenger side was still in the head with a piece of shiny metal around it.

Results:



So keep that bolt in mind as it sits behind the hard line.
Now on to the search for a local replacement as I dont think it's usable.

Who diagnosed your blown head gaskets and what symptoms are you having?

It's the external oil leak issue that's common on these engines.

I honestly only opened a new thread so the above could be used as reference for someone else if they are looking to remove the intake. I know many wont read through multiple pages. I was trying to keep someone from having the same headache. Thanks GLC for sharing the info with ishootstuff.
