2002 2WD f150 lift kit questions

Whats going on guys I have a few questions about the type of lift I should do on my 2002 f150 supercrew lariat 2WD. I know a suspension lift kit is better then a body lift kit but is it possible to do both? Im looking at the 3 in rough country suspension lift kit and a 3 inch rough country body lift kit. Can I or should I put on both or spend the extra cash and put a 6" suspension lift. And what size rim and tire would be good to run with these setups. All responses would be greatly appreciated ✊👍

Yup you can do both, but if you aren't doing the install yourself you'll wind up spending right around the same as a 6-6.5" suspension lift. Especially with the Springtech/Canuck Motorsports lifts being so cheap compared to everything else.

As for wheels you'll want 4.5" of backspacing. If you want to run 35's you'll need to stick to around 8-9" wide. Any wider and you'll need to drop the tire size some or do a good bit of trimming.

So to get the right backspacing i would have to put on wheel spacers? Most likely will run 35s

I wouldn't recommend wheel spacers. You'd need to run a minimum of 1.5" wheel spacer with a wheel with 6" of backspacing to get to the correct amount. And a 1.5" wheel spacer will still require you to trim a little bit off the studs.

So I'd either buy the correct wheels or stick with the factory wheels, however factory wheels won't allow you to run as wide of a tire just because they're 7-7.5" wide depending on the wheels you have.

How about a 3inch suspension lift, will it clear 33s?

It can, depending on the wheels you use, tire width, and tire tread pattern.
