great thread man. It's nice to see a clean truck brought back to life after the PO gave up on it. Good work too. I"m the same way. I have no business doing tranny swaps, engine overhauls, rear end work but I can figure anything out. It's more about making the least number of stupid mistakes in figuring out the right way to do it. KEep us posted!

Thanks for the kind words guys! I got my old pickup sold, and made 1300 bucks on the whole deal by fixing this pickup up and selling my 2wd one. With money I had saved up before, and the 1300 I made on my other pickup, I went ahead and bought an Eibach suspension kit, sway bars, castor camber plates, bump steer kit, full MAC exhaust, new intake, and tuner for my mustang. Definitely looking forward to working on my Mustang!

A bunch of codes

Well I've been driving the pickup for about 4 thousand miles now. I am getting a few codes. IAC high value code, left bank lean, right bank lean, and evap solenoid code.

I'm averaging 11.5 mpg, yes it's winter, but it's still bad. Also, on longer drives, 20 minutes or so I get a burnt oil smell from the engine bay. With a very random blast of smell from the vents, typically when I'm at a stop, then back up.

I feel like it has intake manifold gasket symptoms, but I put brand new gaskets all the way around. Any suggestions? Are bank lean codes common?
