gas gauge malfunction

Cool gas gauge malfunction
Gas is on full all the time. What should I be looking for to fix this? 99' 5.4

Its probably the in the tank float stuck. If you drop the tank to fix it you might as well get a new pump.

Thanks for the help. With only 79000 is a new pump needed? The cost is 2x the float, different part for a longbed?
