install windshield mirror?

install windshield mirror?
n00b here
new truck to me
can not believe that i can not install windshield mirror on receiver?

jut bought truck
previous owner took off mirror and had a gps there
i guess there is an ultra small set screw at bottom

It should just slide into place and is held there by that set screw. Maybe whatever the last owner used for his gps burred up the mirrror mount?

receiver is smooth nothing to grab on - will attempt again .... blkjak

The mount should have a dove tail and the top should be smaller than the bottom. If you don't get it post a pic.
