Cruise control issues after recall work at Ford....
So I bought this truck, went to the dealership, found it needed the fuel tank straps needed replacing, and the cruise control recall done. I see new straps, then I check the new wiring harness they installed, and find this....
The piece of loom on the left has two wires that have been cut. The new harness has a male on one side, a female two pin connector in between the fuse holders, then the far side (right) is taped off...
Soooo... WTF? Cruise is inoperative now. I never tried it out when I first got it incase it wasn't done yet, and it hadn't when I ran the vin. But it seems I'm missing something here? Any help? What should it look like?
I don't see the switch the harness plugs into on the master cylinder either, looks like a bolt is screwed into the place where the switch goes.
Ding ding ding.. Apparently the previous owner did his own fix when the cruise issue first started happening. I found a 98 Expedition on the lot, and kinda figured it out from there. Parts are ordered, should be an easy 5 min fix.
