2003 Rear End Lift
2003 Rear End Lift
Finalizing a deal to buy 2003 XLT Scab. The truck has a 2.5" Leveling kit, however the front sits sort of higher that the back. I farm so the truck needs to have some rake in the rear. Research always comes up with putting in blocks. What do people have for increased payload and lift in the rear? thanks

The cheapest fix would be to remove the front leveling kit.
If you need increased payload I would add new rear springs. I put some HD springs in mine last winter and the local shop that did them said they would add 2 to 3 inches of lift in the back. I didn't want that and had them re-arc them to keep the factory rake (mines almost level). It is not the cheapest way to go but the right way to do it IMO.

A set of air bags would give you the rake you are looking for without really changing ride quality. Plus as you load the truck, you can increase pressure in the bags so the truck will not sag.
