Electric Fan Signal Wire...

I can't find where anyone is hooking the switched 12V power to for the controller. I'm using the Painless F5 controller. Is there an unused pin in the fuse box that's switched?

Not being familiar with your controller, what does the instructions say?
Like how much current the system needs.
How big a fan in terms of current draw are you intending to use?
Fans for cooling radiators normally need high current source through a slave relay to handle the currents.
I need more info to be sure you are awhere of all that needs to be addressed.
Good luck.

I just need a key on source for the controller. It connects straight to the batter with a breaker fuse. I was thinking I had seen where someone was using a pin in the fuse panel that was a spare but had a key on source.

If you look on page 207 of your owner manual at fuse #6, it would be a good signal source for key on power.
Use the correct fuse size tap and correct fuse capacity.
Do not try to feed your fan system through the same fuse that feeds other functions.
Good luck.
