Ok my driver side window on my 2001 f150 xlt won't go up. I took the switch apart and cleaned the contacts and wt not and put it all back together but still no luck! Took the switch part off exposing just the contacts and I can see a spark when I go to put it up but nothing else happens! Wt can my problem be? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated as it is starting to rain!

 

Is there a way to at least put the window without fixing Wts wrong?

Did you take off the door panel and remove the regulator, or coax it up?

 

I had to remove the motor. Somehow the motor and regulated got jammed together.

 

Great, now that you are experienced, can you come over and help me figure out what is making a clicking sound in mine?

Seriously, did you use any special tools to get the door panel off? Any hints or tips to prevent gotchas?

 

Door panel removal is pretty straightforward. Check out YouTube. There are several videos. You need a screwdriver and a socket, but I don't remember what size (maybe 8 or 10 mm). If you have to remove the regulator, you will have to drill out some rivets. Not hard, but you need a power drill.
