Fixed my hard 1-2 shift!!

Well guys I fixed my clunking hard 1-2 shift on my 99 f150 5.4 by installing the transgo shift kit ($48). My truck was due for a fluid change anyway so this worked out great. Removed pan and removed accumulator body. Removed 1-2 valve and my spring came out in 4 pieces! Transgo gives you all the springs for all the gears, so even though the rest of my springs looked good, I replaced them anyway. My tranny is like brand new. I have the 4r100 btw, Mike

Pretty common for the springs to break with age and miles.

Good job on doing it yourself!
