Sloppy steering when wind blows hard - 2002 Supercrew 4x4
i have had a problem with my 2002 F150 SuperCrew 4x4 driving like crap when the wind blows hard. It makes my truck go all over the road and could potentially get my pulled over for a DUI. Usually I have to hold my steering wheel offset to get it to drive straight in the wind. The wind like shoves my truck all over and makes it hard to control.
Does any one have any ideas what could be wrong? I looked at the ball joints and tie rods and they seem to be tight. I lifted the front of the truck up and the wheel is nice and stiff with no play. I just replaced the sway bar links because one was broken but that didn't change the way it drives. I noticed the steering shaft has a lot of play in it, I looked at my 2006 f150 and it has no play in the steering shaft. Is there a bearing or something that connects to the steering shaft? or is there someway to tighten it? i'm not sure if the steering shaft would even have anything to do with how it drives. could my tie rods or ball joints still be bad even though they don't make an noise or have any play? I just changed my tires and rims from 265x65x16 to 33x12.50x16.5 and both set of tires drive about the same.
Any one have any ideas or have had the same problem?

Mine does this too... actually did it this morning. The Ford dealer I use for things I don't due myself said mine and others have some play and some don't. He noticed it in mine each time he drove it the past few years. My suspicion is the shaft under the dash might get worn. It's a u-joint.
