Overhead counsel out

I pulled out the circuit board for the overhead counsel and didn't find any resistors corroded or bad, (just by looking at them), I have power going to it because I checked at the plug on the circuit board, but the overhead display will still not come on, I have a 2003 f150, 4.8, planning on going to a junkyard and pick one up, just wondering what year will fit, not the whole overhead but just the board because I'm sure color match will be hard,

Thanks,

He meant you don't have a 4.8. 4.2, 4.6, 5.4 is what came in them.

I'm not sure if you saw this post because you called it a counsel instead of a console.

Sorry, yep. 4.6, I did see the how to repair it, but did not see any thing wrong, but as I read later on, someone had the same thing where it "looked" fine, might just take the board in and have a shop look at it

The board has surface mount components.
In the regulator part of the circuit, a resister runs very hot and eventually it's soldered connection goes bad.
One reason why is there is little to no ventilation when up in place and all covers are in place.
Good luck.
