My 2003 I bought in 2004 had 73,000 on it last week when I traded it in for my new one. I loved that truck and never had any issues, it ran strong with the 3.73s,e-fans,and exhaust. Interior was perfect but it was the rear fender and passenger rear doors that started rusting inside to out that forced me to trade before it was worthless. Very sad, I wish someone would make aftermarket replacement beds and I would have loved to drive that truck for another 11 years!

New here

Hey.
I'm new here. I've browsed a lot on this site and decided to make an account when I saw this thread. I just recently bought a 2001 5.4L 4x4 F-150 last fall with 82,000 miles. I was looking for a newer Ford, but this had the right milage and an excellent price, $6,000. It's in great condition and I'm pretty sure I got a great deal on it. Also, it plows through the snow amazingly. Way better than my RWD 2006 Lexus IS 350 which I sold for this truck and profited. All in all, best thing I ever did.

Here's a bonus pic

Just rolled to 87k even! I've spent more time detailing her than I have driving. Picked it up used about 75 miles ago. After exhaustive research, I was determined to buy the cleanest 97-2003 I could find.

Where are you all finding these?! Around Northern Ohio, you can't find anything with low miles or excellent condition of this vintage (except mine! )
Years ago there was a great national Craigslist search engine that helped me find my boat in Florida. It was shut down by craigslist and no search engine I have found since works nearly as well. Anyone know of a good way to search CL nationally?
Thx

I got lucky on mine. I have an XLT and I found it sitting by the grocery store. The guy I bought it from said $6,999 was blue book but I talked him down and paid cash. Pretty sure he messed up on the blue book value but whatever lol.

He probably did mess up. That truck would sell for 8 to 9 grand, maybe more where I'm at and probably sell fast. Works for us though.

My 2002 f150 XLT FX4 just turned 75K miles!

Last year when I took it from my wife (bought her a new car) it only had 51K miles.

It still looks new. Pics in my garage.

I just hit 100k about a month ago. I bought mine in October 2013 with about 87k on it if I remember correctly. I paid $12.5k. It's the FX4 lariat SuperCrew (5.4) and the interior is almost spotless. No torn or separated leather on the seats either. I had to drive 7 hours in a one way rental car to get it. I had been looking on autotrader for about 3 months before I finally found it.

My 2000 I've had since 2001 when she had 11,000. She's now got 93,000 that I drive everyday to work, work is just two miles away so they don't rack up that fast.
