Lighting performance is marginally better, appearance is vastly better.
But - their true value is, they facilitate going to the next level - a retrofit (which requires clear lenses).

OEO / Visteon (unobtainium) much preferred. The fleabay versions are 'okay' - but may require resealing and fitment isn't the greatest. And their UV coatings range from adequate to non-existent.

They are not unobtainable as I have seen a few places still selling them. The problem is they are selling for a premium for the OEM Visteon Ford part ones. Last set I saw recently was 500 plus through Tasca

I suppose I should have qualified my post to suggest that the premium price may make it 'unobtainium' with respect to some budgets
