ignition issues

I have an 03 F150 with the 4.2 V-6 and manuel trans. It wont' start when I turn the key the solynoid clicks but the started wont engage. If I try it several times sometimes it will eventually turn over. battery is fine and truck will push start. Do I have a bad starter or is it something else?

Firstly - using actual English may hep folks decipher what ye be a-postin' - good thang ol' Bubber's adept at cipherin' hilljack gobbledygook .

And how aboot some basic courtesies like usin' the Intro forum to say 'Hi', and a couple o' them fayncy, high-falootin', catchy (and, apparently rare) 'Please' and 'Thankee' word thangs thrown in to hep wif the respondin' wif Free Help, in kind ....?

Yep - starter, or e'en the 'soly-noid' - clickin' starter relay ain't the same as it actually movin' to engage.

Good luck

Likely the starter Brushes are worn and hanging up.
I would replace the starter and firewall solenoid as a pair to ensure a good low resistance circuit.
Good luck.
