Driveshaft

I have a 97 f-150 reg cab long box 2wd with a 4.2 liter v6. Where the shaft holds the u joint is chewed up badly and the shaft is dented. This truck had one single drive shaft rather than 2 and a carrier bearing. If anyone knows a place I can get a new drive shaft or what single piece drive shafts will work for this truck please let me know.

Take it to a driveline shop. They can make whatever it needs. Or, start looking in the junkyards.

GLC is on the money but if you don't have a shop around I used this company. Mine came with brand new drive line and a center support bearing. It also came with a cross member for the bearing. It's held up good and I have no complaints. My truck had the POS huge aluminum drive line that was known for having issues. Now it's a 2 piece thick wall steel and spice u-joints.
