Home link Garage Opener

I have a 2002 f150. I was trying to set my homelink up but when I hold the 2 outside buttons down the red light never comes on. I've tried to figure out what could be causing this but no luck. Anybody have a suggestion on what could keep this from working?

How long are you holding the buttons down for?

Does the mirror have power? Do you ever see a green or red light?

I've tried several times holding the buttons down for 20-25 seconds each time. And no, my power mirrors are not working either. And the light never comes on.

I'd start off by checking fuses and the power connector on the back of the mirror.

I checked the fuses and the wire. Both seem good. Any other ideas?

How did you check the fuses? Do you have a meter to check for power at the mirror?
