Is there a way to make the middle seat on a reg cab (w' 60/40 split buckets) more comfortable for adults?

I'm looking to make the middle more spacious/comfortable so I can bring two extra people with me to dirtbike rides in the desert.

Feels a bit high - maybe shaving the butt foam to be level with the passenger seat, then add regular seat foam to the bottom of the center console?

The only other thing I can think of, is getting a full bench to replace the buckets...but then I'd lose the center console.
