4.6 windsor to 4.6 romeo swap
4.6 windsor to 4.6 romeo swap
I have a 1997 f150 4x4 with a 5spd. The stock motor spun a rod bearing and it is a Windsor. I was going to rebuild it but I found a 1997 Romeo 4.6 out of a grand Marquis with an automatic with 60,000 miles on it. The Windsor motor has an 8 bolt crank flange and the Romeo motor has a 6 bolt crank flange. Am I going to have a problem finding a flywheel? What other problems am I going to run into?
