Door lock not working

Probably a simple question, but. i can't find a clear answer from Googling it. When I turn the key on my passenger door it does not unlock. This is a simple XL without power anything. So I' really am just asking how to take the door panel apart to look at what might have came apart to cause this. Hopefully I can just reconnect a lever or something.

Take the inside door panel off and inspect the linkage. We don't have X-ray vision.

Did you read my post? I asked how to take the door panel off. I'd prefer to do it right so I don't break any snaps. I didn't even ask for help with the lock, I just want to look at it. I've fixed locks and actuators on cars before, and it was easy.

Since you're new here, I'd suggest looking thru the How To Articles. There's a lot in that forum section. If you can't find an article that fits your application, there are a ton of how to vids on YouTube. For your application you could have also looked at websites that sell stereos and speakers. They usually have vids that show how to install the equipment. Here's a door panel removal vid from YouTube

Sorry you didn't get the help you needed right off. There are a bunch of nice folks here but some of us are just old and slow. Some even built yer truck. Keep asking questions and don't expect immediate answers, but you'll get the right answers for the most part. Welcome aboard.

Perfect, thanks! I don't expect answers right away, or anything. I'm surprised I had such a hard time finding a video, considering how popular f150's are.

Edit: Got it fixed fairly easily. The hook just needed reconnected to the locking mechanism. Tough to reach in there with the door frame, but got it within half an hour.
