A/C stops working when the vehicle stops/starts suddenly

A/C stops working when the vehicle stops/starts suddenly

My A/C goes out everytime the truck stops or starts suddenly and is jerked around and the truck needs to be turned off and sit a little bit then turned back on for it to work .... have any ideas?

its a 1997 F-150

Probably a busted blend door if it truly goes "hot", that is, well above ambient.

When the engine idles, the suction side is more likely to get the low pressure cutoff, that is the compressor clutch disengages on low pressure. You might need to check the refrigerant pressures. It might need some more refrigerant.

It went fully hot right after recharging it to normal levels :/ should I take a look at the blend door? I heard you can jimmy rig it open and shut depending on whether you want hot or cold

yes it blows hot air not even luke warm but like I have the heater on

Yeah to anyone else having this problem a very quick tempory fix is to watch the youtube tutorials on how to replace your blend door and then just duct tape it shut
