Sounds like machine gun...

My 2003 F-150 Supercrew was working fine then was parked for few days.

I unlocked the door using my remote, and it unlocks, then re-locks itself, unlocks, then re-locks, few times all by it self!!!! When I opened the door, there was continuous clicking sound coming from either in the dash or under dash, it was hard to tell. I had to disconnect the battery to make them all stop.

After reconnecting the battery, If I lock and tried to unlock, the same problem repeats.

At last, I tried to crank the engine. When I turned the key, I thought someone was shooting at me. Horrible machine gun sound that you hear in the movies, and it won't start up.

Measured the battery, while disconnected, showed 10.4V. It was Super Start Premium 72 month battery, which is 4.5 years old. So, I replaced the battery, and now it cranks up no problem.

I had dead batteries before on this truck and various other vehicles I've had, but never had these behaviors.

It just past 105K miles, I think it's time for its first tune up.

So did the lock issue resolve itself after the battery was replaced too?

That's what happens, just before the battery kicks the bucket - they take the truck to an interdenominational gateway, via time-warp before totally kicking the bucket. You were lucky, you just "heard" machine guns...did you see any landscape changes?

Once a battery falls below 11 volts it pretty much a dead battery causing chattery starters and computer brownouts. Battery probebly just bled down while sitting for a few days.

I think it's a 11.6 volts minimum if I recall correctly.

With the way everything is controlled by computer modules these days it can cause bizarre behavior when there are voltage issues.
