1997 - 2003 F-150

Trying to figure how to turn my fog lights on with out having to run a switch?

Trying to figure how to turn my fog lights on with out having to run a switch?

Ok i have a 01 f150 lariot and the truck has to the pull out buttom for the fogs. Im trying to
Figure out if theres a way for me to turn my fpgs on without me having to turn my actual headlights on. So by moving the **** to the second postition the running lights i wanna be able to turn the fogs om from there. Could anyone help me?

Not faniliar with the Ford wiring yet but i would think if you pull the switched positve off the running light relay or even directly from any of the running lights it should work fine as long as the light have a ground to the rad support. The bumper may be ok for a ground but i know there is a ground lug on the passenger side of the rad support that would for sure work.
My only concern might be the wire gauge of the running lights so if its really small you might want to trigger a relay from the fire wall power buss which i believe is preferable. This way any running light can be tapped for trigger power and the power buss feeds the relay with a separate fuse, say 15 amp for 2 55wat lamps.

You'd have to clip one wire then install a jumper, both at the main headlight switch.

Looks pretty simple.

thats what i did.. very simple.. but they are always gonna be on with your running lights.. your not able to turn them off..
