I am thinking about installing an exhaust system in my 99 4.2 f150 single cab. I would like for it to come out the side before the wheel like the lightning does, so i was wondering if i bought an aftermarket system made for a lightning will it bolt on the same on my 4.2 i looked at the 5.4 my dad has and the exhaust systems seem to look almost the same to mine.

 

get yourself a single in dual out muffler and have the exhaust shop put the tips out the side for you


since neither you or your dad have dual exhaust obviously they are gonna look very close and NO a lightning catback won't bolt directly to your exhaust system

 

Alright I'm going to see what type of muffler to get i was thinking magnaflow but also heard a 4.2 with a aero turbine and it sounded pretty good any suggestions and thanks for the help.

 

With a torch and welder enything will fit.
