Question

Evening esteemed F150 enthusiasts,
I have a question for you, I have a 2001 f150 and my power steering is whining, however my power steering reservoir is full. I have had problems with power steering pumps in my last 2 vehicles however it was due to the fluid being low due to a leak. This obviously does not seem to be the case here, some input please?

Use a turkey baster to remove all the fluid from the reservoir and refill with synthetic Mercon/Mercon V ATF. Repeat as necessary every couple of weeks.

Bingo! Right along side brake fluid, most people neglect to ever change power steering fluid...unfortunately. Amsoil ATF works great in that system also;-)
