Valve cover screw sizing???

Hey guys,

My Harbor Freight "tourqe wrench" (more like breaker bar) let me twist off another fastener. I snapped a screw in the valve cover and wanted to see if anyone knows the sizing info of that screw and where I could get a replacement. Luckly the it's in an accesable location on the driver side cover and it dosent appear to be blowing oil. I really need to invest in a better torque wrench. Thanks!!!!

They are specific to that ford valve cover as far as the shape and length. Either ford or a junk yard. I have a few laying around from my swap years ago.....

Found the OEM replacement on the ford parts website. I will just put this here for anyone that may need it in the future.

What spec are you trying to torque them to that breaks them?

Maybe someone might be confusing foot-pounds with inch-pounds?

But then that's going to be the case on pretty much everything.

I am an idiot. I totally misread the spec. Well I only broke one so that is good, and it dosen't leak anymore. I thought something was up when I was putting that much into those little screws, but did I stop, no of course not, haha. Lesson learned, realatively painless. Thanks for the link to the fasteners!

Trust me, you're not the only one that's done that.
