wrecked rim on 1997

hi on my 1997 the wheel came loose somehow ( had retorqued after 200km) and has been 2000km since took wheel off. Anyways the studds are all wrecked and the wheel now the lug nut holes are a little bit egg shaped is it ok to use this rim or do i need a new rim?>

The weight of the truck is mostly supported by the center of the wheel that fits snugly on the hub. However, with the egg shaped seats, I would expect the lug nuts to loosen up again, so if it were me, I'd replace the wheel ASAP. I would at least move the wheel to a non driven axle while searching for a replacement.

How did you not notice it loose for so long? It must have made a racket and felt terrible.

Hi thats what im confused about it was fine on friday when i drove it around farm. its my moms truck and she drove it saturday and didnt tell me it was clunking. then i went to use it monday and noticed a clunk and looked and wheel was loose. Not sure how it would loosen off my mom drives slow. and it was on drivers front, and im looking for a used rim. thanks
