97-03 f150 4x4 6in sus lift 3in body tire question

Hey guys I'm new to the forum world...I'm sure the question has been asked previously but is any one clearing 40's with this lift combo...still trying to figure out how to to search successfully... Thanks for any input... Also any pros and cons yet on the 6in zone lift

Really, really, gonna depend on both tires and wheels. Oh and how much your willing to rub and/or trim.

A narrow tire on a narrow wheel with the right offset and it should be possible. But the problem is going to be finding a narrow enough tire that's a 40. Also for something like this, manufacturer tire specs will be your best friend, it's gonna be close. So I wouldn't look at what's stamped on the side wall, but instead the actual specs the manufacturer lists on their website.

Thanks for the input, I have 17x9 wheels -12 offset now...looking to go at least 38's. Little rub dont bother me, cutting and trimming either.

38's should definitely be doable on that, especially since your cool with the rub/cut/trim combo. 40's may take a little more effort but should be able to be done. A 38x15.50 can be done, there's people on here running them. One that comes to mind is cashel, he has them on his truck.

I love the 6in Zone lift ...Nothing has failed me yet and its been in the truck for about 3 years and I do wheel and mud with the truck on a regular basis
