Sportin' Wood

Stupid winter just won't stop up here, and I have run out of firewood, so I had to head out and find some more. Here's today's haul, and if you have any similar winter pics, post em' up.

Man, winter sux

Damn I just picked up a truck load last week. No pics. Might be getting a cord for free soon though.

What is all that white stuff?

I have to drive a few miles to see it...

This is the only one I have. It's before V10 and winch.

Yup, two year old pine. And some of them were quite a lift to get 'em home. Way up here there are no hardwoods, and thanks for that, cause if they are heavier than some of those, I'd have to find a shorter rig;(

well...if those chunks were Oak or Ash or Hickory...most would have never been loaded without splitting first, especially that high. & you would have been shorter too. Looks like you would have had 75-to 130lb chunks there...depending how much moisture they was still holding.

Anit it nice about burning wood, it warms you so many times. Once while cutting it down and into chunks, Once while loading it, once while splitting it , once while stack it,(If you like things neat), Once while you haul it in to burn it & finally while you burn it.

Yup, winter is a gift that just keeps on giving. I'm in better shape, warmer, and never bored

Here's a couple of pics from today's trip. Might be the last one till the melt really starts, cause it's staring to get real soft.
