Door Jam Sticker? Can it be replaced?

I have recently needed to get some codes off my door jam sticker i.e. gear ratio codes and whatnot. My issue is that the sticker is not readable. It is severely worn out and useless. Is there a way to get the same info from some other place on the truck or can I possibly get a new door sticker from Ford using maybe my VIN? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I didn't see anything in a few searches I performed. Basically is all the info in the VIN the same as the door sticker? If so I'm good, if not I'd like a new door sticker.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Actually, there is very little info on the sticker that can be gotten from the VIN. I don't know where the rest of the info can be had, and I highly doubt you can get a replacement.

The VIN is the best thing to use for finding out what Your truck came with from the factory.

All you can get out of the VIN with available decoders is model, cab style, engine, and plant where manufactured.

I had a super duty that didn't have a door sticker. I called my local dealer and they said they could order me a replacement. It was pricey though, so I didn't bother.

Yes, But you can give it to the Service rep, or Parts Department, & they are able to decode it.

Also If you know a Salvage yard that has their stuff computerized, their Hollander Software will be able to Decode it.
I use to work at a late model facility, & that is how we did a primary inventory of the vehical. Then we did a visual inspection, & deleted anything that was missing or damaged.

Michelle Software is also able to decode it, but the version we use at my place of employment doesn't go that deeply, just gives: Make - Model - Sub-model - Year - Engine - Transmission, & Drive-line configuration.

Hell, I think it may even say what color the car was suppose to be? But since I work under the car that is pointless info to me.

The VIN can identify the exact build sheet for your rig, but you have to get it from the dealer or the manufacture directly and that will cost you some $$ I'm sure.. Standard "VIN DECODERS" off the internet do just tell you the basic stuff as GLC said.. It's the actual number at the end that tells them what exact vehicle you have..

Good luck!

Thanks for all your input. I will call Ford no Monday and see what they have to say. If I can get it I will post it here and let you know how much it costs and whatnot. Thanks again...
