need help, running boards question!! Thank You
I have a 2001 ford f-150 4 dr super crew cab, im looking for running boards to install to help out the wife and scouts , Ive had a few replies but I dont know the first thing about them, Here is my question....here are my replies,
2004 4dr lariat
or
2012 fx4 f-150
both have a set but not sure if either will fit, Im thinking the 2004 lariat may?,

well Ive been looking myself...so far, it seems that the o4-08 generation will not work....hole spacings from the OEM tube steps or nerf bars are juuust enough different . that said, it maybe that 04' Heritage edition may still work??
Now there are some aftermarket that have a continuous slot on the underside of the tube steps or nerf bars. but I am not aware of the specific brand that does that.
But buyer beware on those after market tube steps or nerf bars... although they maybe had for cheaper price....many are made in China.
even though you are asking about running boards...I hadn't gotten around to investigating that aspect...gonna presume they mount very simularly
