Computers....
well common sense for most, mystery tech crap for others....
bottom line, we are just trying to assist and these guys are brilliant in all there own ways.
computers only do what you tell them too. IF you are running dirty oil, dirty air filter, never cleaned a MAF sensor, never used an injection cleaner, never changed a fuel filter........ why bother wasting time with plugs first?
efficiency in the engine comes from the mist of fuel, and proper proportions from the computer....if you are telling it one thing and it is doing something else, it is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. It is a computer...that is what they do...exactly what they are told.
Some driving is required to properly set data logs for testing...yes. so, how many miles do you have on the vehicle and how much time is required (given) for CA testing period before you get a fine or what ever they do?
