I recently lost 4wd on my 1998 f150, I took the plastic cover off the 4wd actuator that's on the axle , and realized that the lever that goes into the slot on the actuator actually popped out, so I put it back into the slot but I'm afraid it will pop out again, is there anything that holds that lever into the slot of the actuator, and by the way when I put it back in the slot the 4wd worked great, and no pics, sorry , so is there anything that holds that lever in the slot?

 

Never mind i figured it out , the lever that comes out of the differential that slides in the slot of the actuator has a small pin that holds the lever on, it was worn out causing the lever to slip out of the slot , so I replaced the pin and it holds in the slot just fine, so just a heads up if anyone has a 4wd problem this could be the issue
