Ford F150 2003 CRANKS BUT WON'T START

Hello

Been trying to troubleshoot why my 2003 Ford F150 V8 4.6L cranks but won't start. Punched it on the freeway the other day and the truck just died on me. Thought it might have been electrical problem cause the same thing happened about a year ago. The problem then was the PCM needed to be replaced, everything needed to be re coded, etc... maybe it was multiple problem ????
Anyways had the truck towed back to the house me and a buddy messed around and trouble shot as much as we could. Sprayed starter fluid in the air in-take and the truck ran for a few seconds then died out. Figured it had to be a fuel problem at that point. Replaced the Fuel Filter still nothing. Definitely looking for suggestions on what to try next.

Based on what you report, it sounds like the fuel system has given up.
The crash sensor, the relay, a connector back at the tank etc.
Do you hear the fuel pump run at key on?
If not the pump or circuit to it is the problem.
You already proved the motor will run if given some fuel so that means ignition is good, PCM is good but no fuel.
No drink, no run!
Good luck.

Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key to the "run" position? If not, check the emergency fuel shutoff switch. If that is good, you might want to make sure you getting power to the pump. If you are, the pump is dead.

If you can hear it, you might want to check your fuel pressure. If it is low, the pump might be on the way out or the fuel pressure regulator might be bad. You also might want to make sure the vacuum line going to it is good.

I know this might sound dumb, but are you sure there is enough fuel in the tank?
