Removing throttle body help

Hey all, I'm just starting to change the head gaskets on my old 2000 5.4. I'm to removing the throttle body. However, I can't get the big pipe coming off the rear of it off. It's kind of rusty but I can't find it in the manual so I just wanted to make sure it wasn't reverse threaded.
Thanks for the help!

Sounds like you are talking about the EGR pipe. Yes they get rusted pretty good.

It isn't left hand thread, just stuck. Hit it with some penetrating oil and let it soak. Use a back up wrench on it too.

On a slightly older truck I used a open end wrench and a very large sledge hammer - it worked
