Which years will work

I have a 98 ford f150 4x4 with a 4.2 and a 4r70w transmission. I found out today the trans has a broken ear on the tail shaft where the adapter fits to it. I need to know what years and models will work for a replacement?

I believe it has to be a 97 or 98 - and I know it has to be off a 4x4 4.2. V-8 trannys have a different bell pattern and a 4x2 has a different tailshaft.

Get it welded or order the part from a transmission shop.
