Hey guys, been a while since I've been around but I've got a question that I think I know the answer to but would like clarification. I'm in the process of redoing my audio system in the truck. And of course with that comes some glass work. I'm going to be glassing some a pillars for my tweeters(large format, on-axis for anyone who'd like to know lol), but I want to do it with another set of pillars so that I could put it back to stock if needed. Now for the ?. Will all a-pillar trim panels fit on my 2001 f150 that come stock on 97-03 f150 and expedition. I want to say this is correct and I know 01-03 will fit, but ebay seems to be littered with other years (97-00) for cheap. Color obviously doesn't matter since they will be painted to match the stock trim panels. Also, if you're reading this and you have some you want to sell just shoot me a pm! Thanks guys,

I would watch for dash changes for 97-00 & 01-04, but you would think they all would be the same?

 

I would think so. I'm either going to go to a junkyard or just fiberglass the whole a pillar(essentially making a mold) and keeping the stock ones...

 

Some time after 1999 the pillars changed. They will still fit but the headliners changed when the overhead console was made available with the compass so the pillar was redesigned. Neal the HP freak bought a 2000+ headliner to get the console and luckily he was able to get the pillar mouldings too. His truck was a 1999.

 

yah theres some weird changes in there. 99 didnt have a drivers grab handle IIRC. and the headliner and thus pilar length changed somewhere in the 00-01 years

and 03 Expy is 2nd Gen (square headlights) so im sure the pilars are much different for that
