99 f150 manual transmission fly wheel bolt pattern HELP! 4.2l

hey guys so I got tired of my auto and picked up everything I need to do my manual swap...
I have a 98 f150 with a 99 4.2 in it and all the parts are from a 2000 4.2 and the flywheel is a different bolt pattern
than the flex plate on my 99 4.2 any ideas guys need help asap

That's strange - I show that all 4.2's from 1997 to 2008 take the same flywheel.

Yea its very strange I think im going to get the local auto parts store to order one of each the 97 98 one and the 99 to 03 one and pick the one I need.. I just dont get why they would even change it

Yep, that flywheel looks just like the LUK LFW117 on Rock Auto's site for 97-08. 50 bucks.

That flexplate also looks just like the ATP Z273 on Rock Auto's site for 97-08.

You sure the bolt pattern is different?

Not trying to be offensive, you do realize that the flex plate and flywheel probably use different bolts?

Also the flywheel may have an extra hole for an alignment dowel that isn't used with a flex plate.

Maybe it isnt idk I ll have to try again tomorrow I swear I tried every way but ill for sure try again and yes it uses longer bolts I know that they are same girth and thread obviously

I just recently replaced my V-6 & had to have my flywheel turned, & when I installed it on the replacement engine, It only went on One way, so take your tyme & exspect to move it a few tymes till you get it where she needs to be!

Have you considered the possibility that you got the wrong flywheel? Might be from a 3.8 Mustang.
