Truck Started great yesterday. Today issues.

Hey I own a 99 F-150 and yesterday my truck started fine with no issues. Today I went out to my truck and I couldn't get any power inside the cab or out. I went to work and my neighbor called me and said my lights were on. I got home and jumped my truck off and it started and I drove it around the block a few times. When I turned it off and tried to start it back up nothing happened, but I was hearing a clicking sound coming from the fuse panel under the steering wheel. Has anyone had this problem before and have a quick fix? Please let me know. Thanks.

Driving it around the block a few times isn't enough to recharge the battery. The quick fix is pull the battery and take it over to the parts store to get recharged.

Have you ever thought of removing the cables and cleaning them and the battery posts?
If the battery is old it needs replacement for nothing more than reliability you need in starting.
If still an issue, the Alternator may have a shorted diode stack. This will discharge the battery after shut down.
Without attention, these things come to hassle you sometime.
Winter usually brings out all of them.
Good luck.
