need help on lift options!!

Hey guys, I have a 97 4x4 f150. I've got a 6" suspension lift and its sitting on 33" Nitto Terra grapplers. I had 35" Toyo open country M/ts on it before. I'm wanting something bigger than 35's though. What's the biggest I can go without rub? Thanks!

What are the specs on the current wheels, width and backspacing/offset? Chances are it's still going to be around a 35x12.50-13.50 depending on how aggressive the tread is, an all terrain would allow you to stuff a bigger tire than a m/t. But knowing the wheel specs will help us make a better guess.

The rims are 17x10 or 12 not too sure. Not Sure of the offset, but these wheels are specifically made for this truck. I don't know too much bout all of the technical specs. How would I find backspacing and offset

Either pull one off and see if it's stamped on the inside, go to the manufactures website and check and see what was produced in that wheel width (looks like no more than a 10" wide wheel to me), or pull out the measuring tape and do it the old fashioned way.

Alright so I was wrong, the wheels are 17x8.5. The offset is 25mm

That gives you a backspacing of about 5.7" You could probably tuck a 37" a/t tire in there and not rub but the problem would be finding one thats around 12-12.5" wide or less, and you would really need to regear with a tire that size.

That backspacing doesn't sound right to me though, majority of the suspension lifts for the 97-03's require a wheel with 4.5" of backspacing or less. But if that is the right backspacing, I wouldn't go with a tire any wider than a 12.50 and one that doesn't have really aggressive side lugs.
