Didn't know that was there, mine never had one.

 

It was optional on the premium trucks Lightnings, Harleys, and Expy IIRC

 

Ford discontinued them at some point. You had a 50/50 chance of getting one. I like the fact that my main relay is covered up now not to mention much cleaner looking.

 

I've seen them on XLT's, Expe's,Harleys and lightnings. It was never consistent on who got. It's random at best.

 

my 98 xlt f150 had one, but my 00 expy doesnt. good find!

 

Hmm. My '97 XLT has one and the '03 FX4 I just picked up did not. I was thinking is was missing for some reason. Didn't know it had such a history behind it. Was going to look for one on eBay but now I don't have to.

So does my 98. Looks a hell of allot better than that half moon type thing posted above.

 

My 98 had one, my current 2000 does not. Thanks for the link. Personally, I like the OEM original one as it had more coverage than this one does. Probably would be a good idea for me to hunt one down in the local junkyards....

 

my 98 has one and they look a bit flatter and bigger than the pic posted in the beginning, does make it look a lot better

 

That half moon cover is a O.E. Ford part.
