very plausible. Can't tell you the number of vehicles I've seen by improperly used floorjacks/lifts even from "professional" shops

Could have been a jack, but I doubt it.
Reminds me of a friend of mine that took his CJ-5 into the shop to get it ready for Deer season. The mechanic told him that his frame was cracked in 2 places. His kid swore up and down that him and his buddies NEVER jumped it and thought he could trick dad into thinking gravity did it while it was parked in the garage............he didn't believe the kid. After applying the thumb screws he got the real story out of the kid..........But dad, we didn't jump it that high, must have been a weak frame! Hehehehe. Yea right!
